First time fishing Lake P
Hey guys me and iron man decided we were going to see what fishing the Causeway at Lake Pontchartrain was all about so we headed out at around 9 o clock this morning. we got there around 10ish and waited in the terribly long line to launch at the public ramp. when we got out there the Lake looked great. we didn't fish long, only for a few hours before it started to get rough and we ended up with 4 nice trout. Man the bite out there is finicky! we missed a ton of fish all because we just arent used to that kind of tap tap hit. The four fish that we caught were pretty good size and i caught the biggest trout ive ever caught today. i think i have found my main spot to fish being that i ..... Read More

Dularge Trout Fishing
A slow morning of trout fishing on the DU. NE winds were blowing 15-18mph and messed up the bite we were enjoying. I fished with Dave Manry, Hugh Fleming, and Richard West. The guys fished hard but it didn't happen for us today. We called it a day around 10:45 with 45 nice trout. Some days the fish win and today was one of those days. Good luck fishing. RED FISH DAY
Yesterday I fished with Stan Easly his son Chad who is off to Iraq in Jan and Jeremy. It was my honor to put one of our brave service men on a bunch of fish today. The guys told at the dock they wanted some speckled trout but really wanted to catch some redfish. So I set my sights on redfish and catch a few trout along the way too. Things started out great and stayed that way all day. We caught redfish just about everywhere but a most were under sixteen inches, But some nice keeper fish in the mix. With just about a limit of redfish we got on a trout bite and finished the day with topping off the box with some nice speckled trout. The guy’s had blast and Chad has some good fishing stories to ..... Read More

Lafitte Fishing Report
The water has been pretty low the last couple of days with the passage of a cold front, and the morning temps have been on the cool side. The redfish have made their way back in to the deeper holes with the lower water, and along the shoreline of the interior bays. The trout have still not made their way into Lafitte just yet, but they are not far away. With good numbers coming from the Little Lake / Bay L'our area on the west side, and the Bay Round area on the east side. They should be in our backyard any day now. On the warmer days you can still catch some redfish in the duck ponds with shrimp under a cork, or spinner baits. The bass fishing has been excellent as well with big numbers com ..... Read More

Fishing Fever
Well here’s the report from Four Point, the weather 68 degrees with an east wind near 10 knots with fairly clear skies. Even with the wind fisherman have already limited out on specks using both minnows and plastic. Tidal range is fair but it does not seem to be bothering the fish a bit. Some nice limits of Reds using bait shrimp and cracked crab. The weather looks like we will have rain tomorrow but will improve for Sunday. Well that’s the report for Four point hope everyone has a great weekend and good huntin and fishin to ya! Four Point Marina 1171 Four Point Road Dulac, Louisiana 985-563-2878

Catch of the Day
If you are not in the blind or stand you need to be in a boat catching reds and specs. The fishing is fantastic inshore right now. Yesterday on a quick 2 hour trip we found the reds stacked up and hungry. The trout are plentiful and hungry also. Its time to call and book a trip inshore. Capt Tommy Pellegrin 985-851-3304.

Venice Offshore-Pelagic Charters-Fat Tuna
After several weeks of strong easterlies and a brush with a tropical storm, the gulf laid flat like a pond, allowing for beautiful conditions. On Saturday I ran a trip for the Mexican Gulf Fishing Company. My crew consisted of a all star MLB line up that included hall of fame inductee Barry Larkin, formerly of the Cincinnati Reds. We rolled down the river at 50 m.p.h. and I never had to pull the throttles back once we hit the gulf. We started out wahoo fishing and only had a pull off to show for a serious effort. A capt. buddie hit me up on the radio that he had found some stud yellows and to get there quick. He was about fifteen miles away and in no time we pulled up to find his client bowe ..... Read More

Slow Day But Good 11-15-09
I had the pleasure of fishing with Leo Moretz. An avid angler from North Carolina. Our first stop was straight to the same spot from the day before, but for some reason the fish just weren't there. So we bounced around and worked really hard catching a few fish at every stop. At around noon on our way in to catch a few reds, we finally found a steady school of fish. We were able to catch our limit of trout and some reds. All in all, still had a great day with great company. A little hard work and dedication is all it took. Good Luck Fishin'! Capt. Kelly & Harry with 2 of their nicer trout Another table full Three wild and krazy guys

Flying Fish in the Biloxi Marsh
Wed. 11/18 & Thurs. 11/19.....Shell Beach Report... Wednesday... I just had to stay out of the way as I was afraid I would get a fish in the face. Three wild and crazy guys, C.J.(Dr. Painless), Billy(Norton) & Ralph(Vodka & Cranberry) were jacking trout in the boat at a quick pace and they had me ducking and running for the bow. It was fast action from the start on Campo's live shrimp 2 ft. under a rattling cork and the way these guys fish the trout didn't have a chance and its a good thing they are my friends or I probably would have had to get out of the boat and stand in the marsh to prevent getting injured from wild flying fish. They ended the day with their limits and I had a few bruise ..... Read More

Fishing under the birds
I came in from offshore & decided to hit the lake with a friend of mine yesterday morning. We launched @ Calcasiu Point @ 6AM. We headed straight to Turners Bay. There were hundreds of birds feeding on shrimp. The birds were working really good until 7:20 or so. They just quit all of the sudden, not sure why. We hit a few different spots but nothing produced any fish. We found a few flocks of birds here & there throughout the lake. The total for the day was 19 specks & 2 reds. We tagged & released 11 more reds including a 20 lb. bull red that was 37 inches long! I caught all my fish on opening night sand eel jrs. My buddy was throwing a margarita sand eel jr. Here are a few pics from yeste ..... Read More
