Officials uncertain if event will be rescheduled
Heavy rains Friday morning and an ominous weekend forecast prompted officials to cancel CCA Louisiana’s 5th Annual Specks and Spots fishing tournament scheduled for Saturday at Quintana Landing at Cypremort Point.
“We haven’t decided if the event will be rescheduled or not,” said Dusty Hulin, with CCA’s Sugar Chapter. “But if you purchased a tournament entry and it is not rescheduled, your money will be refunded.
“We just don’t know if we can get the pavilion again, so we have to talk to St. Mary Parish Government on that.”
