Mississippi man drowns while frogging on Tensas River

Accident happened at 10:30 Tuesday night, LDWF says

A 44-year-old Natchez, Miss. man died Tuesday night after he fell out of his boat while frogging on the Tensas River, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

Carroll Dobson was with his two sons when he stopped his boat, stood up and then fell into the river about 10:30 Tuesday night. One of his sons jumped in to save him, but was unsuccessful, the release states.

Dobson was not wearing a life jacket, and his son said he was drinking alcohol at the time of the accident, according to the release.
