Capt. Travis Miller is a big double-rig fan. They certainly catch boat loads of fish all over the coast, but it seems that they work particularly well in Dularge.
Miller likes them because they put more bait in the water, in addition to the fact that they give him the chance to catch two fish in one cast.
Tying a double rig, according to Miller, couldn’t be easier.
Here’s how to tie one:
- Cut a piece of 25-pound monofilament line about 4 feet long.
- Tie a ¼-ounce jighead to each end of the line. Miller uses an improved-clinch knot.
- Double the line where the top jighead is about 10 inches from the bottom jighead.
- Tie an overhand knot at the top and tie your fishing line to that overhand knot.
- Enjoy catching trout two-at-a-time.
