Rising water levels are causing backwater flooding on the site, LDWF says
Officials with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries have cancelled all lottery waterfowl hunts on the South Farm Unit of Sherburne Wildlife Management Area because of extensive flooding.
According to a press release, increasing water levels in associated river systems have caused backwater flooding that has created safety concerns.
Sherburne WMA South Farm is located in Iberville Parish approximately one mile north of Ramah.
