Haley slipped off a houseboat May 1 in Iberville Parish, LDWF says
Search and rescue teams are currently looking for a 61-year-old Denham Springs man who apparently slipped off a houseboat Friday evening on the Upper Grand River in Iberville Parish.
According to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, eyewitnesses said James L. Haley slipped off a houseboat while attempting to return to his own vessel. He surfaced twice, but has not been seen since, the release states.
Search crews worked on the Upper Grand until 3 a.m. Saturday morning and then resumed their work at daylight that morning, and the search has continued every day since, according to the release.
