2015 Bassmaster Elite Series schedule revealed

Sabine River to host season’s first event

The Sabine River will kick off the 10th anniversary season of the Bassmaster Elite Series in 2015.

Other locations on the eight-stop schedule include Lake Guntersville, the Sacramento River, Lake Havasu, Kentucky Lake, the St. Lawrence River, Chesapeake Bay and Lake St. Clair.

The site of the year-ending Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the  Year Championship has not been announced.

“It’s fitting that the 10th Elite Series season features such prominent and important fisheries,”  B.A.S.S. CEO Bruce Akin said. “The schedule spans the country from coast to coast and from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico, and it includes some of the very best bass lakes and rivers in the country — and some of the most challenging.”

The season begins March 19-22 in Orange, Texas at the Sabine River, which set an Elite Series attendance record in 2013 with more than 33,000 visitors attending the four-day tournament.

Todd Faircloth caught more than 50 pounds there to earn his fourth Elite victory.
