The VuDu Shrimp baits have taken this area by storm, and tackle shops are having trouble keeping them on the shelves.
One of the newest baits is the Baby VuDu Shrimp, which is perfectly suited for night fishing because its small size perfectly imitates the shrimp that are attracted to lights.
“The 2-inch VuDu Shrimp is absolutely the best bait for piers, docks and nighttime fishing,” said Kat Marcantel at Egret Baits, which manufacturer of VuDu Shrimp. “If you fish under lights, you know that trout and reds love small shrimp gliding around the glow of the lights.
“For best results, we recommend light spinning tackle with 6- to 8-pound (line). A crappie rod is perfect. This little VuDu is also deadly on crappie and panfish.”
