Bassmaster Elite pro Greg Hackney is in first place at the Elite Series stop at Lake Dardanelle after an impressive fog-shortened day of fishing in Russellville, Ark.

The Gonzales angler followed up Thursday’s 21-13 with 18-1 on Friday, good for 39-14 and first place at the halfway point.

Anglers were delayed Friday morning for about two hours until a thick blanket of fog lifted.

Cliff Crochet, of Pierre Part, also had a solid day and followed up Thursday’s 13-4 with 19-15 and a total of 33-3, good for eighth place.

The Top 50 will fish on Saturday, when the field will be cut to the Top 12 who will fish on Sunday.
