Bassmaster Elite Series stops in Toledo Bend this week

Tournament kicks off Thursday morning at 6:20 a.m.

More than 100 of the top bass anglers in the world will roll into Toledo Bend this week for the fourth stop of the year on the Bassmaster Elite Series tour.

The Evan Williams Bourbon Bassmaster Elite will be the fourteenth time B.A.S.S. has held a professional tournament on Toledo Bend, with action scheduled this Thursday through Sunday, May 1-4.

Louisiana Elite Series anglers Greg Hackney, Cliff Crochet and Dennis Tietje will be among those competing for the $100,000 winner’s check, and entry into the 2015 Bassmaster Classic to be held in Greenville, S.C.

Also scheduled to compete are Kevin VanDam and 2014 Bassmaster Classic Champion Randy Howell.

Practice will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, with blast-off scheduled for Thursday morning at 6:20 a.m. Public launch viewing on all days is available from Cypress Bend Park, with official weigh-in taking place Thursday and Friday at 3:15 at Cypress Bend.

On Saturday, the Top 50 anglers launch at 6:20 a.m., and after the 3:15 weigh-in, the field will be cut to the Top 12.

The Top 12 will launch at 6:20 a.m. Sunday morning, with weigh-in that afternoon also beginning at 3:15.
