Correct ‘Free Fishing Weekend’ dates are June 7-8, 2014
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is advising anglers of a correction to the Free Fishing Weekend dates printed in the 2014 fishing regulations pamphlet.
On page 8, the correct dates of the annual no-fishing-license-required weekend should be June 7-8, 2014.
Promotional dates are provided each year for novices and non-anglers to experience recreational or salt water fishing without purchasing a recreational fishing license.
