Body of Central man recovered from Bayou Pigeon

Unmanned boat reported Saturday afternoon, victim found Sunday morning

A 37-year-old Central man’s body was recovered from Bayou Pigeon early Sunday morning, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

Brent J. LeBlanc’s body was found about 8:30 a.m. in Bayou Pigeon, the release states.

Rescuers received a call Saturday afternoon at 4 indicating an unmanned boat had been found about a mile southwest of the Bayou Pigeon landing. Agents with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office and LDWF searched into the night Saturday until severe weather moved in, the release states.

It is unknown how LeBlanc was ejected from the vessel. He was found without a personal flotation device, the release states.
