Big Bass Splash slated for Sept. 20-22 at Lake Fork in Alba, Texas

Amateur bass anglers will compete for $500,000 in guaranteed cash and prizes

Lake Fork Marina in Alba, Texas will be the site of the 2013 Big Bass Splash, where amateur anglers will compete for more than $500,000 in guaranteed cash and prizes over three days.

Scheduled for Sept. 20-22, first place overall will win a 2013 Ram truck along with a loaded Legend Alpha 199 powered by Mercury Marine, plus $7,000 cash.

Twelve places will be paid in cash each hour of each tournament day beginning with the 6-7 a.m. hour and continuing through 2 p.m. for the 12 single heaviest bass weighed in.

In addition, contestants weighing in the first bass to weigh exactly 2.50 pounds each day of the tournament will win $5,000. And all contestants are eligible to win a Triton 18XS bass boat in the elimination drawing.

Current B.A.S.S. members are eligible for additional prizes. The member with the largest bass from the 6-7 a.m. hour and the 10-11 a.m. hour of each tournament day will be awarded $100. And $250 will be awarded to a current B.A.S.S. member with the largest bass in the overall Top 5.

Registration will be at Lake Fork Marina in Alba from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, and will continue from 5 – 6 a.m. on tournament days. Entry fees are $135 for one day, $185 for two days and $235 for three days.

Children ages 12 and under may participate in the Little Anglers Division and win Academy gift cards and ribbons for winning catches of bass, catfish, sac-a-lait and bream. The Little Anglers entry fee is $10 per day.
