Freemason Island

“This island is just a long, beautiful stretch of shells, about a mile long,” Bourgeois said. “Once you step off the island into the water, the depth drops off fast and steep, so we don’t even wade in the water here. I land and pull the seaplane right up to the shells, and all you have to do is walk along the shells and cast your baits for both trout and reds.

“Easy pickings.”
