Kincaid Lake is about 10 miles west of Alexandria south of Highway 28 West. It lies partially within Kisatchie National Forest.
The U.S. Forest Service has two good boat launches on the lake. The east ramp is off Messina Road. The west ramp is off Valentine Lake Road just south of Gardner.
USFS also has a camping and recreation area on the west side with both tent and RV sites.

A private boat launch is located just off Highway 28 near Tunk’s Cypress Inn Restaurant.
