10-pound speck tops current record by just more than 20 ounces, Mississippi Department of Marine Resources confirms
What looks to be a new Mississippi state-record speckled trout was landed Monday, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources confirmed.
If confirmed, the 10-pound, 10-ounce speck will take the No. 1 spot on the Mississippi Official Saltwater Conventionial Tackle Records, the MDMR said today.
