Pike recommends sticking to the larger bays near the outside for redfish.

Pike said he mostly fishes Bomber mud minnows in glow/chartreuse, electric chicken, all chartreuse or purple/chartreuse, but any color with a chartreuse tail will be effective.

For redfish, he recommended anglers stick to the larger bays near the outside.

"Lake Campo, Lake Robin, Four Horse, Pato Cabello all will produce some good catches of hefty reds this month," Pike said. "The easy technique is to anchor at a good point where you see some decent water movement and fish market shrimp under a cork."
