Louisiana Sportsman subscriptions, Sportsman Gear packs awarded.
Winners in three the Nikon Big Buck Photo, Trail Cam and Deer Video contests have been selected, with each winner earning a great Sportsman Gear package.
“These contests give us the opportunity to say ‘Thanks’ to our loyal users,” LouisianaSportsman.com’s Andy Crawford said. “The contests are free to all of our registered users.”
In the Nikon Big Buck Photo Contest, user “Zukster” took the top prize for a photo of young Lucas Chaisson showing off a fine West Bay Wildlife Management Area buck killed during a recent youth hunt.
“He has never been hunting in his life,” Zukster wrote. “With 10 minutes left to hunt, this nice 8-point stepped out on the lane we were hunting. Lucas performed like a champ, dropping the deer in his tracks at 60 yards.”
Zukster earned 63 percent of the votes cast, and will receive a free one-year Louisiana Sportsman magazine subscription and a $25 gift coupon to the online Sportsman Store.
Users “Girlz Rule,” “delecerda” and “JB1979” tied for second with the remaining votes.
The contest continues through Feb. 15, with every user submitting photos qualifying for monthly prizes and a random drawing for a set of Nikon Monarch ATB 10×42 binoculars.

In the Trail Cam Contest, user “big al” won with his photo of two does duking it out in front of his camera.
big al earned 40 percent of the votes cast, and will receive a free one-year Louisiana Sportsman magazine subscription and a $25 gift coupon to the online Sportsman Store.
User “LIL LOUISIANA” placed second with 30 percent of the votes cast for his image of a massive buck.
“Big Racks HC” placed third with 20 percent of the votes for an image of a nice buck standing on its hind legs while a doe looks a little displeased.
User “sticknstring74” rounded out the monthly competition with his photo of two hammer bucks.
The Trail Cam Contest continues through Dec. 31, so be sure to check out the gallery and enter your own photos today!
There were five videos submitted to the Deer Video Contest, and user “DAX” won with a video titled “Doe Management.”
This contest is determined by the number of views, and DAX’s vid attracted 1,154 views.
DAX wins a free one-year Louisiana Sportsman magazine subscription and a $25 gift coupon to the online Sportsman Store.
User “dhenson” took second with his vid titled “Population control,” and “claychadick” came in third with “Valerie’s 4pt.”
