Consistent regulations make fishing trips easier.
Fishing regulations on the waters running along the Louisiana-Texas border change Sept. 1 to make size restrictions and daily bags consistent, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries reported.
The regulations, which cover the Sabine River, Toledo Bend and Caddo Lake, mean anglers on those waters no longer have to keep up with two separate sets of rules.
Regulations for black bass on Toledo Bend already were, so the changes impact catches of channel, blue and flathead catfish and black and white crappie.
The new rules on Caddo Lake and the Sabine River deal with those species in addition to white, yellow, largemouth and spotted bass.
