Lottery gun hunt dates also announced.
Applications for the two lottery gun hunts on Tensas River National Wildlife Refuge must be received at the refuge office no later than 4 p.m. Sept. 6.
The applications are available only that the refuge’s headquarters or by mail. Call 318.574.2664 for more information.
Dates for the lottery gun hunts are:
• Weekend 1 – Nov. 25-27
• Weekend 2 – Dec. 10-11
ATV trails will open on Sept. 15 to allow hunters to scout. However, ATV permits are required, and can be purchased by mailing a $10 money order to the refuge headquarters at 2312 Quebec Road Tallulah, LA 71282 beginning Sept. 1.
