Sportsman Show fills the ‘Dome

Big crowds find big savings on hunting, fishing equipment and more

“We just really want to thank everybody for coming out. The show was a huge success, with even bigger crowds than we anticipated,” said Tony Taylor, with Louisiana Sportsman. “People said we brought a little of the magic back to New Orleans and the Superdome.

“It was really a tremendous three days. The vendors I spoke with were really excited, and the folks who came out to the Dome got some amazing deals on some great products.”

In addition to a Superdome floor full of vendors, the New Orleans show — which was sponsored by Reed’s Metals — also featured a Big Buck Contest, appearances by outdoor celebrities and fishing and hunting seminars all weekend long.

The show in the Dome came just four months after  another wildly successful Sportsman Show in Gonzales at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center earlier this spring.

“We’re looking forward to going back to Gonzales next March,” Taylor said. “We’re already hard at work putting together another first-class show, and we hope to see everyone next spring at Lamar-Dixon.”
