If it’s mid-summer and your thoughts are already starting to drift to decoy spreads and the blind this fall, don’t miss the Duck Hunting Expo at the 2017 Louisiana Sportsman Show presented by Reed’s Metals in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome next weekend.
All the best boat and motor manufacturers will be there, like Pro-Drive, J&B boats, Mud Buddy, Gator Tail, Cottonmouth Boats and Gator Trax, and you can check out some of the latest blind barges and more.
Plus some of the best call makers will be on site as well, including Kelly Haydel of Haydel’s Game Calls who will host a seminar entitled “Duck calling for ages 3 to 103.”
Celebrities scheduled to appear include John Godwin and Justin Martin of TV’s Duck Commander, as well as Melissa Bachman, Cuz Strickland, RJ and Jay Paul Molinere, Ryan Langerhans, Ward Burton and many others.
And be sure to stop by the Puglia’s Sporting Goods Discount Zone at the show, which will feature closeout prices on popular items like deer stands, duck calls, hunting clothes and a huge selection of fishing equipment.
Hours for the Louisiana Sportsman Deer, Duck and Fishing Show are: Friday, July 21 from 3 to 9 p.m., Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attendance for kids 5 and under is free, children 6 to 12 are $5 and adults 13 and older are $10.
