Theriot man cited for allegedly possessing 42 bass in Falgout Canal

Angler was 32 bass over the legal limit, LDWF says

Enforcement agents with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries cited a 31-year-old Theriot man on Sunday for allegedly possessing 42 bass in Terrebonne Parish.

According to a news release, Joseph R. Molliere was written up after an agent stopped him for a  boating safety and compliance check in Falgout Canal. The agent allegedly found Molliere in possession of 42 bass, which is 32 over the daily possession limit of 10 per person.

Possessing over the limit of bass brings a $100 to $350 fine and up to 60 days in jail, the release states.  Molliere also faces civil restitution totaling $448 for the replacement value of the 32 fish over the limit.
